United Finishing Systems, LLC and its affiliated companies (collectively “UFS”) provides customized and comprehensive finishing maintenance services to its customers through system repair services, its spare parts inventory, and its datapaq oven tracking system, along with providing its customers with fully designed and priced products for the customer’s purchase (“Services”). This Privacy Policy sets forth the collection, use and disclosure of personal data or personally identifiable information (“PII”) and other information by UFS in connection with UFS’s Services. Registration with, use of, and access to UFS’s Services is subject to UFS’s Terms and Conditions.


Your use of UFS’s Services is completely voluntary and therefore UFS’s processing of your PII in connection with the Services and this Privacy Policy is with your consent. UFS strives to conform its privacy practices to applicable laws, codes, and regulations. All references to “us” or “we” refer to UFS. We may update and make changes to this Privacy Policy, so we encourage you to review it periodically.


For this Privacy Policy, the term “PII” shall include, without limitation, your name, address(es), telephone number(s) (including home, cell, and/or business telephone numbers), email address(es), date of birth, and any unique identification number we assign to you.

  1. Information You Submit


UFS uses your data in several ways, including but not limited to the following:  Provide and administering the Services; Process your requests and orders for products, inventory, or to receive any of UFS’s Services; communicate with you about your order for products, inventory, or receipt of Services; Facilitate the Services’ technical functioning, including troubleshooting and resolving issues, securing the Services, and preventing fraud and abuse; Learn more about you by linking your data with additional data through third-party data providers or analyzing the data with the help of analytics service providers; Improve UFS’s Services and develop new products and services; Analyze trends and traffic, track purchases, and track usage data; Advertise the Services on third-party websites and applications; As required or permitted by law; or As UFS, in its sole discretion, otherwise determine to be necessary to ensure the safety or integrity of its users, employees, third parties, the public, or UFS’s Services.


  1. Information Collected Through Automated Means.


UFS may also collect certain information automatically, such as information about: (i) your device or computer and its capabilities, including, without limitation, the operating system, the applications or programs on your device or computer, IP address, device carrier, device type, time zone, network status, browser type, browser identifier, unique device identification number, carrier user ID (a number uniquely allocated to you by your network provider), media access control address, international mobile equipment identity, locale and other information that alone or in combination may be used to uniquely identify your device or computer; and (ii) your activities in connection with UFS’s Services, including, without limitation, activity on UFS’s website. Specific examples of this information, and the technology that collects it, are below:


  1. Cookies. Cookies are small files that store certain data on a device or computer. UFS may use session and persistent cookies for several purposes including, without limitation, to provide a better website experience, quality control, validation, and for fraud detection and/or prevention. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device or computer indefinitely until deleted.


  1. Log Files. UFS’s Services may automatically gather and store certain information in log files, including, without limitation, data available from your web browser, including, without limitation, IP Address, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exiting pages, operating system, date/time stamp and click stream data.


  1. UFS’s Do Not Track Notice. Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a preference in your browser that you can set to notify websites that you visit that you do not want the websites to collect certain information about you. UFS does not track individuals over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore UFS does not respond to DNT signals. If you object to UFS’s practice with regards to DNT signals, you may opt-out from participation or use of UFS’s services as described below.


  1. Information Collected from Third Parties.


UFS may obtain PII and demographic information from third parties, including, without limitation, information services bureaus, other sample suppliers and/or social media platforms. UFS may use the PII for various purposes, including, without limitation, data validation, data append, and fraud detection purposes.


  1. UFS’s Use of Information.


In addition to other purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy, UFS uses information collected through UFS’s Services as follows: 

  1. To communicate with you regarding any purchases you complete, your receipt of the Services, or UFS’ rendering of the Services; 

  2. To comply with any and all legal obligations, including, without limitation, tax obligations; 

  3. To update UFS’s records; 

  4. To comply with any data suppression obligations or requirements; 

  5. For fraud detection and/or prevention purposes; and 

  6. As otherwise permitted pursuant to this Privacy Policy or as otherwise authorized by you.


  1. How Long Your Personal Information Will Be Kept. 


We will keep your personal information while you are receiving Services from UFS. Thereafter, we will keep your personal information for as long as is necessary:

  1. To respond to any questions, complaints or claims made by you or on your behalf; and

  2. To keep records required by law.


We will not retain your personal information for longer than necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. Different retention periods apply for different types of personal information. When it is no longer necessary to retain your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it.


  1. Communications You May Receive Through UFS’s Services


UFS and/or UFS’s agents, processors, and/or vendors or subcontractors may contact you or communicate with you as follows:

  1. Via “push” notifications or SMS/text messages, if you expressly agree to receive such communications.

  2. Via email communications for the purpose of: (i) communicating with you about your purchases or receipt of Services, (ii) sending you notices required to be provided hereunder or required by law, and (iii) responding to inquiries received from you. Email communications are only sent if reaching out via telephone or text message is unsuccessful.

  3. Via telephone for the purpose of: (i) communicating with you about your purchase or receipt of Services, (ii) sending you notices required to be provided hereunder or required by law, and (iii) responding to inquiries from you. 


  1. Sharing PII and Other Information Collected Through UFS’s Services with Third Parties


UFS will disclose PII and other information collected through UFS’s Services to third parties as follows:

  1. With your consent, other than your consent to the processing and sharing described in this Privacy Policy and specifically this section.

  2. Pursuant to applicable law or in response to a subpoena or an order of a court or government agency.

  3. To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims of an individual or UFS, including to protect the safety of an individual or to protect UFS’s rights and/or property.

  4. To a parent, subsidiary, or affiliate of UFS: (i) in the event of a reorganization or restructuring, or (ii) for use and processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as authorized by you.

  5. To authorized agents and/or subcontractors of UFS as needed.

  6. In connection with a change of ownership or control, including, without limitation, a merger or an acquisition of any or all of UFS’s business assets, provided that the party receiving or acquiring the PII agrees to use, protect, and maintain the security, integrity, and confidentiality of PII in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

UFS will not knowingly collect any information from any child without permission from his or her parent or legal guardian.

UFS maintains appropriate technical, administrative and physical safeguards to protect PII and other information disclosed or collected by UFS. UFS reviews, monitors and evaluates its privacy practices and protection systems on a regular basis. Notwithstanding the foregoing, transmissions over the Internet and/or a mobile network are not one hundred percent (100%) secure, and UFS does not guarantee the security of transmissions. UFS is not responsible for any errors by individuals in submitting PII to UFS.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

Right to Deletion

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

  • Delete your personal information from our records –and–

  • Delete your personal information from our records –and–

  • Direct third parties to whom the business has sold or shared your personal information to delete your personal information unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort


We may not delete your personal information if it is reasonably necessary to:

  • Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, provide a good or service requested by you, or reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform a contract between you and us

  • Help to ensure security and integrity to the extent the use of the consumer's personal information is reasonably necessary and proportionate for those purposes

  • Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality

  • Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise his or her right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law

  • Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act

  • Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when our deletion of the information is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of such research, provided we have obtained your informed consent

  • Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us

  • Comply with an existing legal obligation –or–

  • Otherwise use your personal information, internally, in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided the information

Right of Correction

If we maintain inaccurate personal information about you, you have the right to request us to correct that inaccurate personal information. Upon receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct the inaccurate personal information.

Protection Against Retaliation

You have the right to not be retaliated against by us because you exercised any of your rights under the CCPA/CPRA. This means we cannot, among other things:

  • Deny goods or services to you

  • Charge different prices or rates for goods or services, including through the use of discounts or other benefits or imposing penalties

  • Provide a different level or quality of goods or services to you –or–

  • Suggest that you will receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services


We may charge a different price or rate or provide a different level or quality of goods or services to you, if that difference is reasonably related to the value provided to our business by your personal information. We may also offer loyalty, rewards, premium features, discounts, or club card programs consistent with these rights or payments as compensation, for the collection of personal information, the sale of personal information, or the retention of personal information.

Please note that you may only make a CCPA/CPRA-related data access or data portability disclosure request twice within a 12-month period. If you choose to contact us directly by email or in writing, you will need to provide us with:

  1. Enough information to identify you (e.g., your full name, address and customer or order reference number);

  2. Proof of your identity and address (e.g., a copy of your driving license or passport and a recent utility or credit card bill); and

  3. A description of what right you want to exercise and the information to which your request relates.


We are not obligated to make a data access or data portability disclosure if we cannot verify that the person making the request is the person about whom we collected information or is someone authorized to act on such person's behalf.  Any personal information we collect from you to verify your identity in connection with you request will be used solely for the purposes of verification.
